Complicato, sexy e sfacciatamente immaginativo, Tangram ridisegna i confini tra danza, nuovo circo e teatro fisico. Creato e presentato dalla nota danzatrice Cristiana Casadio e dall'artista circense di livello mondiale Stefan Sing, lo spettacolo descrive in modo accattivante la lotta dell'uomo tra attrazione e repulsione. Laddove le scarpette da punta restavano un tempo relegate alla sbarra e le palline da giocoleria erano confinate nel tendone da circo, ora entrambe fanno follie sullo stesso palcoscenico. I due artisti portano nuova vita nelle loro rispettive forme d'arte, unendosi per raccontare una storia d'amore, sdegno, e soprattutto potere. Sia che lei penda dalle dita del suo partner come una marionetta o che lui si protegga dietro una barriera di palline che volano come missili, la coppia incarna allo stesso tempo passione e furia. Tangram chiede cosa vuol dire arrendersi all'amore e ci chiede chi ne ha il controllo.


Stefan Sing e Cristiana Casadio


Cristiana Casadio began her career as a rhythmic gymnast on the Italian national team. She was named national champion in April 1993. After retiring from professional gymnastics Cristiana embarked upon a period of intensive study of ballet and contemporary dance. She received several grants including those from the Merce Cunningham Studio and the Peridance Center in New York. From 1999 to 2009 Cristiana danced with ballet companies across Europe and took part in several productions directed by Vittoria Ottolenghi. She was a featured soloist in many productions, notably Balletto dell’Esperia directed by Paolo Mohovich. Cristiana has had the opportunity to perform pieces by internationally celebrated choreographers including Marius Petipa, Bronislav Rosnos, Libor Vaculìk, Inmacolada Rubio, Hervè Costa, Eugenio Scigliano, Laura Corradi, and Paolo Mohovich. 

Stefan Sing a master of contemporary juggling, has been developing his unique style since 1985. Stefan completed his university studies in philosophy and German literature and went on to study performance technique and dance at ICAT in Berlin, Germany. From 2000 to 2006 Stefan performed with his solo act, Rain is Falling , across Europe after which he toured with the new circus company, Cellar and Sky. His duo juggling act, Catch Me If You Can with Phillip Meyhöfer played shows and festivals around the world. In 2009, Stefan was named a laureate by new circus company Aiuaio of Jeunes Talents Cirque. In the same year he created his new solo production, Pigeon, Why Do You Scare Me? Stefan continues to teach at circus schools across Europe including ESAC in Brussels, Lido in Toulouse, and Circus Space in London. 

Since 2009 Cristiana Casadio and Stefan Sing have co-created pieces on the cutting edge of new circus, dance, and physical theatre. They live with their son Matias in Berlin.
